What are the hours of Open Range for Rifles?

Open range for rifles is from 7:00 to 9:00 each Wednesday. The Postal League meets Tuesdays during the season from September thru March. Consult the calendar for specific times.

 

Will someone be at the range to assist me?

Yes. A NRA Certified Range Safety Officer will be on duty whenever the range is open.

 

What is the cost for shooting?

The cost is $3.00 for members and juniors, $10.00 for the guest of a member (one time only), $20.00 for members of the public. An annual 2021 membership is $60.00.

 

Can I sight in my hunting rifle?

No. We have an indoor range only.

 

What calibers can I shoot?

.22 caliber rimfire only.

 

Are .17 caliber rifles allowed?

No. The velocity is too high for our backstop.

 

What distances can I shoot at?

The distance is 50 feet.

 

What are the ages for a Junior?

Through their 20th year.

 

Do I need to bring my own targets?

We supply the targets at no charge.

 

How long can I stay and shoot?

You may stay until the range officer on duty announces the range is closing.

 

Is there a charge for ammo?

NRPC does not sell ammo and there is no surcharge for you to shoot your own ammo.

 

Can I bring more than one rifle?

Yes

 

Does the club have rifles to use?

Yes, for use at our facility with your own ammunition.
